Lily Vanilli cake sculptor

A former graphic designer, Lily Vanilli, started baking as a hobby in her Hackney kitchen. Now her creations are coveted by the fashion elite. She has baked Victoria Beckham's birthday cake and counts Heidi Klum as a fan.

The official launch of Rachel Ashwell's London store

Rachel Ashwell launched her new and ever-so-lovely Notting Hill Shabby Chic Couture store last week. The party included fans, media types, PR gurus and assorted admirers of the original Shabby Chic style. The London drizzle was an excuse to show off these beautiful umbrellas. They can even make rain chic.

Cupcakes, champagne and strawberries, and a shop chock-full of beautiful things. Is there a faster route to instant joy? Methinks not.


Pink lemonade very pretty and delicious to drink too.


Rachel provided a lovely spread for her guests which featured fluffy white vanilla cupcakes. Yum. Thank you Rachel for a lovely party and congratulations on your new shop!
